To build a carbon free future
ZERO CARBON STRATEGIST
Zero Carbon Strategist supports housing companies in their transition to become future proof.
When looking for quick wins, do not forget your final goals
Established in 2020, Zero Carbon Strategist is helping to futureproof housing companies in line with international sustainability goals.
Over the last 20-30 years, the need to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions has intensified in the housing sector. Now, more than ever, existing homes must be retrofitted to meet this need.
To help organisations make the most effective choices for their portfolios, we have developed a unique scenario management tool called DREEAM. This tool features a model for collecting data and an international database of the latest retrofit technologies. Our scenario calculator determines the best retrofit options based on your organisation’s objectives, resulting in a tailored solution aligned to your strategic goals.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Grant Agreement no 680511.
Our Services
Data collection and storage
We can source and manage the crucial data required to assess your portfolio. High quality data is an instrumental part of the Zero Carbon Strategist tool and will help to determine the most effective and efficient retrofit strategy for your organisation.
Database of the most suitable retrofit options
Zero Carbon Strategist has built the most complete, international database of retrofit options currently available on the market.
Our model will match your organisation’s objectives with the optimal retrofit technologies.
Scenario Manager
The scenario manager determines the most efficient retrofit strategy for your portfolio based on possible limitations or specific requirements. These could include, for example, budgetary constraints, preferred or discarded technologies or carbon reductions. Our server has the capacity to compare millions of combinations for your stock and to establish the optimal retrofit programme.
Managing and interpreting information
The analysis of your portfolio will determine the optimal retrofit scenarios and our modelling will calculate the most viable options. This information will then be collated into a comprehensive management report. With more than 60 years of experience in housing and sustainability, our team can analyse and interpret the results.
Advice
Our team can advise your organisation on the implementation, execution, and monitoring of your retrofit strategy. We know exactly what is required to achieve the best value for money and how to use the retrofit strategy to enhance your ESG credentials. We can also advise on concepts like circularity, passive housing and carbon offsetting.
